This is now the fifth edition of Adelaide Game Jam, and we can hardly wait to start this weekend with you. As per usual, we're opening up for all of you visual artists, programmers, game designers, sound designers, board game enthusiasts, multi-talented superstars, beginners and long-term jammers alike to share the experience and make some games!
Please let us know you'll be there by filling in this form.
Here are the hot tips on what a game jam with Jamalaide is like:
+ There will be tea, coffee, and some soft drinks available at the venue
+ Bring your own meals or walk straight into Adelaide's CBD to pick something up and get away from your game for a while. We often do group takeaway orders too
+ There aren't any computers available at this venue, but we'll have lots and lots of powerboards so that you can bring your own set up.
+ You don't have to work on a digital game: you can make a board game or a card game with our supplies
+ You can work solo, in a team, or as a kind of freelancer who does bits and pieces for lots of groups
+ It's typical for lots of people to all brainstorm together when the theme is announced, even if some of them might end up working solo later on
+ If we have lots and lots of people, we're usually spread out across multiple jam rooms in the same building
+ You're welcome to tell your friends about the Sunday night Games Showcase, you don't have to be part of the whole jam to come and check out what other people have made!
